The Distributor Portal is an extension of Customer Portal, with extra features. In particular, transfer ownership to a customer.

Just in addition to "Units" in TT Customer Portal, the Distributor Portal has a feature for transferring the iTraker ownership to the customer.

Transfer iTraker Ownership from Distributor to Customer

After customer John Smith of "John Pest Control" has purchased a unit of iTraker, the distributor should help John to onboard TT Customer Portal to access every features of the iTraker could offer. And this is especially true if John wants to test before leaving the front desk.

Scenario

  1. John has been an existing customer of Termatrac, however, has no account of TT Customer Portal.
  2. John is a new customer.

Procedures

  1. Input the serial no of iTraker and customer's company/business/trade name.
  2. Optionally create customer.
  3. Optionally provision for the customer.
  4. Transfer ownership.

Scenario 1: Already provisioned customer

Customer "TestMonday" has been an existing customer of Termatrac, and has an provisioned account of TT Customer Portal.

Step 1: In Units, by clicking the button, pick T50000402 which is just sold to "TestMonday".

Step 2: Input customer's business name "TestMonday".

Input name

TT Distributor Portal finds out this customer has been provisioned. Therefore the only action needed is "Transfer"

Step 3: Click [Transfer]

All is done.

Distributor will:

  1. see T50000402 disappears from the list.
  2. receive a notification Email sent to the account Email address of the Distributor Portal.

Customer will:

  1. receive a notification Email.

Scenario 2: Existing but not provisioned

"Nobugs Pest Control" existing from has no account of TT Customer Portal.

Step 1: pick the correct unit and click the hand button.

Step 2: Input customer's business name.

Step 3: Click [Provision & Transfer]

All is done.

Distributor will:

  1. see T50000402 disappears from the list.
  2. receive a notification Email sent to the account Email address of the Distributor Portal.

Customer will:

  1. receive a notification about the provisioned account.
  2. receive a notification Email about the transfer.

Scenario 3: New Customer

"John Pest Control" is a new customer.

Step 1: pick the correct unit and click the hand button.

Step 2: Input the customer's business name, Email address, as well as given name and surename.

Step 3: Click [Create, Provision & Transfer]

All is done.

Distributor will:

  1. see T50000402 disappears from the list.
  2. receive a notification Email sent to the account Email address of the Distributor Portal.

Customer will:

  1. receive a notification about the provisioned account.
  2. receive a notification Email about the transfer.
