Battery Safety Guidelines for iTraker
đ Battery Safety Guidelines for iTraker
iTraker is powered by a built-in LiPo (Lithium Polymer) battery, whichâlike most lithium-based cellsâoperates optimally within specific temperature ranges. Maintaining proper environmental conditions ensures stable power delivery to iTrakerâs electronic components and reduces the risk of battery degradation or fire.
â Recommended Usage
- Operating Temperature: 15°C to 45°C (60°F to 113°F).
- Charging Temperature: 5°C to 35°C (30°F to 113°F)
â Avoid the Following
- Do not charge the device in environments exceeding 39°C
- Do not expose the device to prolonged extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold
Sub-zero temperatures can cause permanent damage to LiPo batteries:
- Capacity Loss: Even moderate cold (0°C to â10°C) can result in a 20â30% drop in performance.
- Charging Risk: Charging at low temperatures may cause irreversible damage, potentially leading to short circuits or fire.
- Permanent Degradation: Repeated exposure to freezing conditionsâespecially during operation or chargingâcan irreversibly alter the cell chemistry, shorten battery lifespan, and increase the risk of failure.
đĄ Practical Tips
- Winter Precaution: Avoid leaving iTraker in a parked vehicle overnight during cold weather. If it has been exposed to freezing temperatures, warm it gently using body heatâsuch as placing it in your pocketâfor about 10 minutes before use.
- Summer Precaution: Do not leave iTraker inside a hot vehicle for extended periods. If overheating occurs, allow the device to cool down naturally before inspection or charging.
